The Commonwealth games 2018 are happening in Gold Coast, Australia, between 4th and 15th April. The games village is being built in Parklands, South Port adjacent to the Griffith University campus. The Gold Coast hospital is also located proximal to the village.
The Surfers Paradise, the ‘capital’ of Gold coast is located about 8.5 kms from the Commonwealth games village. In normal traffic conditions, it would take about 16 minutes of travel through state route 4 from the games village to the Surfers Paradise.
Most of the Venues of the games are within a short distance; less than 30 minutes drive.
