Private Transfers during Coronavirus ( COVID-19) pandemic- Guidance for Passengers Using our Private Transfer Services
We are going through a challenging time all over the globe, and the Australian Federal Government, along with the state governments, is acting fast and decisively to combat the Coronavirus. As such, there are travel restrictions for people entering or leaving Australia. The Queensland Government has restricted people from other states entering Queensland due to a spread of coronavirus in the country. As a responsible Ground Transfer business, we take extra care for the safety of our passengers and drivers. These are some of the steps that have been taken to break the chain of infection.
1. Please advise if you have any of the following
Symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the flu or a cold, and may include:
- Fever
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Headache
- Cough
- A general feeling of being unwell.
If you have these symptoms please take medical advice before starting travel with our services.
It is generally advised to remain in isolation at home for 7 days OR until 72 hours after your fever has resolved and your symptoms have gone away, whichever is longer. If you have travelled internationally in the last 14 days or have been in touch with any one affected with COVID-19, please consult a doctor (consider contacting over phone first) and get clearance before starting your journey with our service.
2. Guidelines for traveling with My Private Transfers:
- Before meeting the driver, please wash your hands well with soap and water for 30 seconds
- Before entering the car, please apply hand sanitiser. Our drivers are happy to provide the sanitisers.
- Please let the driver know if you have any allergies beforehand, as we apply disinfectant sprays liberally in each car before and after each of the transfers
- Please avoid eating or drinking in the car and avoid physical contact as much as possible and keep a physical distance of 1.5 meters
- Please only sit in the second or third row of the car you are traveling in (we prefer using 7 seater cars to keep 1.5 metres distance from each other
- Please avoid handshakes and other physical contact
- If you are healthy, please load your luggage yourself for your safety and the driver’s by avoiding touching the handles. Kindly note that our drivers are there to help if needed
- If you cough or sneeze, please use your elbow
- Please avoid touching your face without washing your hands
- Please always feel free to ask for tissues and hand sanitisers from the driver
- Please avoid paying with cash. if you wish to leave a tip for the driver, please leave it on your seat and let the driver know
