Gaining Drivers Authority in Queensland to drive

To drive a commercial operation such as Airport Transfer Service, Private Transfer service, Ride sharing service such as Uber etc need special authorisation from the Queensland Transport and Main Roads department. They provide a special licence named as “Industry Authority”.

The department requires a health check up and also a police clearance to ensure the safety of the passengers.

It costs approximately 200 Dollars ( including the department fee and the cost of a medical certificate)  and involves the waiting period of about 2 weeks.
