The Byron Bay, a popular tourist destination located south of the famous Gold Coast is a beach side town.

Here in the Byron Bay tropical waters meets the temperate waters and this makes it popular place for scuba diving and snorkelling. Captain Cook was only just over 50 years when he died, but he carved out for himself, an amazing life of exploration and adventure. When he first visited the Tweed Heads area in 1770; he almost escaped a shipwreck and named the place, Point of Danger. This point stands in the border of NSW and QLD by the sea side. There is a memorial built in Point of Danger in honour of Captain Cook.
